"Golden carnival" in the Registry office of Nizhnekamsk

Maslenitsa – the ancient Slavic holiday, for many centuries preserved the character of a folk festival. Traditionally Shrovetide activities were intended to banish winter and to Wake nature from sleep. Associated with Shrove Tuesday and the tradition of holding the wedding. In the days of Carnival the Registry office of Nizhnekamsk municipal district, plans to officially register 30 couples, and 12th March in 2016 will be a celebration of Carnival and farewell to winter.

To this day the foyer of the Wedding Palace will be enriched by the exhibition of painted samovars, a traditional stuffed pancake, and pancake "Arch" through which the newlyweds make a wish and tie a red ribbon for good luck. The guests and the newlyweds will acquaint with ancient ritual songs and holiday rituals performed by folk ensemble "Daisy", will be treated to an aromatic pancakes and offer to make a coin for good luck.
