«Old New year» in the Nizhnekamsk Registry Office

       «Old New year» – the rare historical phenomenon which has resulted from chronology change. Because of a divergence of Julian and Gregorian calendars in Russia and some other UIS countries and Europe it is accepted to celebrate two holidays at once – on old and new style.

         This year the eve of «Old New year» has fallen on Friday 13. Nevertheless, «the mystical number» hasn't frightened off residents of Nizhnekamsk.

         On January 13 in Wedding palace the ceremony of «a silver wedding» was held, 6 couples newly married have fastened the matrimony with personal signatures.

          In total since the beginning of 2017 in the Nizhnekamsk district 21 couples of newlyweds have been registered.
