We have summed up the survey citizens about the level of corruption in our municipality

The voluntary survey conducted in all parts of the registry office in the city of Kazan, attended by 62 people.

To the question "Do you think, how widespread corruption, bribery among the officials of the executive authorities of Kazan?" citizens' opinions were divided approximately equally between all categories of answers.

However, to the question "Have you had this year in preparation of documents behind the scenes to pay monetary compensation to employees of state and municipal institutions?" the vast majority of respondents (90%) responded negatively.

I am glad that 70% of respondents do not give a bribe, because they believe that their problem can be solved in other ways without a bribe.

Those who still dare to bribe, admitted that he personally were the initiators.

According to the survey found the causes of corruption:

ü Low salaries of public sector employees - 42%;

ü low cultural level of the population - 21%;

ü Insufficient strict control over the actions of officials, their income and expenses - 26%;

ü National traditions, mentality - 16%;

ü The underdevelopment of civil society - 18%;

ü The imperfection of the judicial system - 3%;

ü Weak economy - 22%;

ü Lack of public control - 4%;

ü Inadequate penalties for corruption - 29%.
