For the first time in the new 2021, the Kirov department of the Kazan registry office opened its doors to gold and diamond "newlyweds"
6 married couples who celebrated their 50th and 60th wedding anniversaries visited the registry office today as part of the celebration of the anniversaries of family life.
The “newlyweds” remembered how they signed in the register of acts of civil status and received the first family document from the hands of a registry office worker.
Every month, in all city departments of the registry office, employees hold celebrations for those residents of Kazan who crossed the threshold of the registry office more than half a century ago and tied their fates. The tradition of honoring married couples who have been married for 50, 60 and 70 years originated in Kazan in 2000 and continues to the present day. These “newlyweds” are given a monetary gift and a congratulatory address from the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Raisovich Metshin.
In 2020, in the Kirov Department of the Civil Registry Office of Kazan, 200 couples were congratulated on their half-century family anniversary, and 50 couples on the 60th anniversary of married life.
